Bring a Hiking Backpack

Our greatest piece of advice for hiking Utah with a child under 3 years old is to bring a hiking backpack. You won't regret it and it will be a coveted item by all parents that pass you with a little one riding on their shoulders. Sure, it adds a solid 30 pounds to your back after you add snacks, juice boxes, and extra layers of clothing...but it is worth it!

About the trip

We flew into Salt Lake City and spent three days in the area. While we loved hiking to Ghost Falls and also finding a sweet park in the West Jordan area, we really wish we would have spent more time in Moab.

Great Hike.

This video is from our time in Utah exploring areas around Moab. Without a doubt, we highly recommend Professors Creek.
